Mako Shark: Not only is this brightly coloured shark the fastest shark in the world, it can also jump up to 6 meters out of the water. A cousin of the Great White, Shortfin Mako's enjoy dining on tuna and squid. They are found in waters all around Australia, especially the warmer ones.

Conservation status: Vulnerable (population decreasing).

Whaleshark: Not only is this spotted beauty the world's biggest fish, it's also one of the friendliest and is beloved by snorkelers and divers all over the world. Despite its size, it eats some of the ocean's smallest food: plankton. Its only predator is mankind and its conservation status is listed as vulnerable due to decreasing populations. It's found in the warmer waters of Australia and known to congregate in large groups in WA.
