Spot-Tail Butterflyfish Wall Hanging

Spot-Tail Butterflyfish Wall Hanging

Found along the northern part of the Great Barrier Reef, these colourful fish are corallivores, meaning they feed only on coral polyps or soft coral. Last assessed globally in 2009, this fish’s conservation status is unknown due to insufficient data, but as they only feed on coral, they will be greatly affected by habitat loss from climate change, which harms our ocean’s corals. They are a distant relative of the Saddle Butterflyfish, which we have also included in our wall hangings. Family reunion anyone?
