This is the first product we’ve made that hasn’t been totally constructed in Australia. It’s an AS Colour tote bag screenprinted by a local screenprinter in Marrickville. Read more about below.
This is the first product we’ve made that hasn’t been totally constructed in Australia. The tote is from AS Colour, a NZ company founded to meet the demand for blank clothing and they source overseas. We chose AS Colour because we wanted to create a tote bag and there are no manufacturers we could find in Australia with an affordable price point and well made/durable for everyday ware. Most websites that claim to make tote bags in Australia are actually made overseas and without such strong sustainability initiatives as AS Colour. We chose AS Colour because they are upfront about their process, complete with social responsibility initiatives and they utilize ethical sourcing and sustainability practices throughout their supply chain.
